Greetings fellow food swollowers,
I'm creating this thread to serve two potential purposes;
1) So that you may state an Occult subject which you are interested in, and then ask for book recommendations based upon that subject.
2) So that you may state before-hand a subject which you have book recommendations on, or state a specific book that you might be reading, or have just finished, and why you recommend it.
I'm hoping this will encourage reading into various subjects and topics, and will create some dialogue and discussion on different literature. Books are the gateway to knowledge, and your will to read them is the key... at least, I think so? Who knows.
So, anyway; yeah. Go ahead and... post.
See you in Valhalla you fine mammals,
D.

I like La Bas by Jk Huysmans while in itself a fictional work it gives factual information about the notorious serial killer known as Gilles De Rais. And talks a lot about Satanism in France and how it was practiced there at the time.

I am reading Cicero and his wife's works. They write things about Hermetism.

I've just ordered a copy of the Lemegeton and the Greater Key, combined into one volume. Not sure of the quality. Will also be starting to read "The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage" written by Mathers. Heard many good things about it, and of course, Abramelin is very famous within occult circles. Anybody else read either the Lesser/Greater of the Book of the Sacred Magic? Moreso than that, has anybody here applied the information within it to try and perform some type of ritual?
EDIT: Still not dispatched the book. God damn. Also, I have read the Lesser Key, as I own a version by L. W. De Laurence, but it's, well, kinda shitty. I also own a paperback copy of the Greater Key simply called "The Key of Solomon the King" by Mathers. Can't wait to build up to doing rituals like those described in that book, and in the Grimoirium Verum.
